Astrophysicist John Norris Bahcall, the Richard Black Professor in the
School of Natural Sciences, passed away on August 17, 2005. A celebration of Dr. Bahcall's distinguished life and work will be held on Saturday, October 29, at the Institute for Advanced Study, in Princeton, NJ.

Coffee will be served in Fuld Hall starting at 9:00 a.m. Scientific lectures
will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in Wolfensohn Hall. Personal tributes to Dr. Bahcall will begin at 2:00 p.m., and a reception at 4:00 p.m. will conclude the day.
